About Cluvo

What is Cluvo?

Cluvo is a daily trivia game. Instead of guessing words, you guess movies, football players, or national teams. Each day brings a new puzzle in every category: 10 attempts to find the hidden answer, with attribute tiles that tell you how close you are by year, genre, position, club, and more.

The fun is in the deduction: every guess hands you clues as colored tiles, so even a wrong answer builds up information that gets you closer. It's not luck, it's reasoning.

It's bilingual (Spanish and English), runs in any browser, is built mobile-first, and completely free.

Our philosophy

We designed Cluvo around three ideas. First: one challenge a day, no more, no less. A single Cluvo per category each day turns the game into a small ritual, something you do with your morning coffee or on your commute, without the anxiety of an endless feed.

Second: hints should reward cleverness, not brute memory. That's why every guess reveals partial, per-attribute matches rather than a plain yes/no, and the written hints unlock progressively: using them costs you, so solving with few hints feels earned.

Third: respect for your time and attention. No interrupting pop-ups, no forcing you to sign up to play, and no patterns engineered to keep you hooked longer than you want.

How we pick the answers

We aim for a balance between "I recognize this" and "that's not so obvious." Answers are drawn from catalogs curated from public sources and open knowledge bases, always with the cultural presence a general audience would recognize. We don't limit ourselves to the most famous names: we mix very well-known figures and titles with others that, while present, aren't the first thing that comes to mind. That keeps the challenge interesting.

We also avoid repeating recent answers so each day feels fresh. The result is a challenge a casual fan can crack, yet still has spark for those who know the subject well.

What makes it different

  • Attribute hints: each guess reveals partial info, it's not just right/wrong.
  • Three categories: movies, footballers and national teams, each with its own attributes to compare.
  • Group mode: compete with your friends on a private leaderboard with the same Cluvos.
  • Know more: when you finish, we show a description and trivia about the day's answer.
  • No noise: no intrusive pop-ups, no mandatory sign-in to play.

Who we are

Cluvo was born out of a love for daily trivia, movies, football, and general culture. It's made with care from Mexico, for a bilingual and curious audience.

Built by the Cluvo team (kitoep). We read the messages that come in and tune the game based on what players tell us.
